Earth Day Celebration

Saturday April 11, 2026 10am to 1pm — Corner of Chadbourne Way and Crestmont Drive

Earth Day is a time to celebrate our planet and take meaningful action in our own backyard. Join your neighbors as we care for our shared spaces, reduce fire risk, and strengthen our community.

Activities include:

• Cutting and clearing invasive plants and reduce fire hazard (tools provided)

• Free mulch and soil for your garden, supplied by the City of Oakland (bring your own buckets)

• Community raffle

Volunteers needed! Help for one hour our during the event, email us to sign up.

National Night Out

Tuesday, August 4, 2026
(First Tuesday in August)

National Night Out is an annual community-building event that brings neighbors together to strengthen connections and build a safer, more caring neighborhood. It’s a simple idea: when we know each other, we look out for each other.

On this evening, neighbors host small gatherings at their homes - casual, welcoming get-togethers with light refreshments and conversation. It’s a chance to meet new faces, reconnect with familiar ones, and enjoy a relaxed summer evening together.

Interested in Hosting?

The HOA will sponsor up to $175 per household to support food and refreshments.
We will accept the first 10 households who sign up to host.

Hosting is simple:

• Invite neighbors to stop by during the event window

• Offer light refreshments (as simple or festive as you like)

• Help create a welcoming space for connection

• The HOA will share a list/map of participating homes in advance so neighbors can plan which gatherings to visit.

Crestfest

Crestfest is our annual neighborhood block party — a day to close the street, enjoy great food, and celebrate our community together.

The HOA sponsors food trucks, a bouncy obstacle course, music, and family-friendly fun like face painting and chalk art. More details and the final date will be shared soon.

The Board’s 2026 annual organizational meeting took place in the Fireside Room of First Covenant Church at 4000 Redwood Road (Trudeau Center was unavailable) on Monday January 12, 2026 at 7p. At that meeting, the calendar of meetings below was approved.

Board meetings are generally held on the last Monday of each month from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM with adjustments for holidays, reschedules, or cancellations. Our Zoom link is https://tinyurl.com/ZoomHCA. Any HCA resident may join, and please contact the board if you wish to attend and if you have an agenda item. When in-person meetings are held, they are usually at the Trudeau Training Center at 11500 Skyline Blvd. Materials for all meetings are here.
